Root canal treatment, also known as endodontic treatment, is a dental procedure performed to treat infection or damage to the pulp (the innermost part) of a tooth. The pulp contains nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue, and when it becomes infected or inflamed, it can cause severe pain and lead to further dental problems if left untreated. This minimally invasive procedure, conducted at Mankhool Dental Clinic, involves removing the infected nerve, cleaning and disinfecting the tooth, and the canal is filled with natural biocompatible material, called gutta-percha. The gutta-percha is placed to ensure a complete sealing of the root canals. Following the sealing of the roots, we will do restoration on the tooth to further seal off the root canal system from the oral cavity. This may all occur at one session, or, if necessary, the patient will be asked to return for a subsequent appointment. After the treatment, you may need to return to your dentist to have a crown – or other restoration – placed on the tooth to protect and restore it to full function.
If you’re experiencing any of the following symptoms, we suggest scheduling an appointment with our Endodontist (Root Canal Specialist).

Endodontic retreatment is a procedure performed on a tooth previously treated with root canal therapy. It entails reopening the tooth to identify any underlying issues. This often involves locating any missed root canals or unusual aspects of the tooth’s anatomy. Through endodontic retreatment, we aim to increase the likelihood of preserving your tooth for the long term.
